glad they worked out for you. i have a friend comparing some mixes i've done here at home and they seem to translate on he bright side, on his BM5a's. Do any of you guys find them to be a little bright?
Now while I only have YSM1's (passive) here at home, if anything, they tend to also be on the bright side. As far as the Yorky's go, I've tried a couple of "budget" monitors and these are far and above anything else I've tried in the 'low-end' price point and clobbered much more expensive KRK's side by side. |

Hey Bazz, I know this has been up for a while, but I don't find the BM5a to be bright at all. I see people reporting them as bright, but it really hasn't been my experience. What I do find is that sometimes the high end seems a bit clearer in some recordings than I'm used to hearing. This "un-prettiness" can sound like the monitor being over bright, but I think it's really just a clarification of the data that exists on the track. I don't think they are in any way lacking in high end, but with them set flat, I don't find them bright at all.
