Dan,
Any thoughts or comments on the ADL 600? I sure would be interested in your take on it. Thank you. |

I know this is an older thread but would be curious what you thought about this unit. I got one about a year ago. I had a client bring in some tracks he had recorded and I wanted to warm up a keyboard track. I ran the signal trought the line in and it SUCKED. I would like to hear your thoughts (experience) with the pres and the line in.
Thanks Jeff |

I'm very interested in this unit also. Just about ready to purchase a two channel unit to be used for tracking and hopefully mixdown.

Hello DaveG62. I do like mine for tracking. It has a lot of different flavors. I have a pair of modded Ampex 350's that are very thick, rich, lots of vibe. I got the ADL600 to be the opposite, clean but still rich. When it comes time to use it at mix is a different story. Flat and dull, useless. I don't know anyone else who has one, but I wanted to know if this was just my unit or all units.

Hmmm, that's interesting. I know some of the reviews I've read rave about how wonderful the ADL sounds when running mixes through it. I'm looking for a 2 channel unit to send my summed mixes through. Been using 2 adk ap-1's that seem to be working ok. Guess I'll stick with them for now. Thanks.
